tones drop today for a 10-50 possible F. i gear up know tht someone might be dead. less than 3 mins later we arrive on scene and i see a silver car i recognise. as i walk closer i see someone lying in the road tht looked fimilar as well. my heart sank as i rushed to my best friends side. i tried CPR but i was to late. other firefighters take him from me and put him in the ambulance and transport him. he later died on the way to the hospital. im only 16 and i serve because i care. WVFD RIP Paulo.

@ScreamingRockstar thanks brother. i dont wanna bring attention cause thts not wat im in it for. ive been in for a year and seen many ppl go. but its different to see ur friend go. especially how he did. i want him to know i tried everything i could to bring him back. i want him back. he asked me not to leave. i promised him id never leave him. then he kinda sank and i kept going with CPR already knowing he was gone. i had to keep my promise. i had to. but now hes gone. forever.

@smallpaul1995 you did everything you could, but it was just his time to go. he's not gone forever, god just called him home. think of it this way, his last moments were spent with his best friend. it was hard for me being a girl in a fire dept because i was always so emotional when something would go wrong. but you seem to be very strong and have a good head on your shoulders! being aa firefighter is hard work, but it's a wonderful fufilling job! you've proven to be a true hero..believe me!

@Nate43Redmond i used to be a volunteer firefighter, and even though im not anymore, this song still means a lot to me too. firefighting gets in your blood and doesnt leave. everytime i hear tones go off or a siren or scanner, i still get the erge to get up. thank you for serving your community, and risking your life for others. god bless :)

@smallpaul1995 i no how you feel july 30th this year i got called to a car accident to get there to find out it was my brother. he was 6 months older than me and having him die in front of me was hard. the last thing he said to me was i love you and tell mom and dad and all my brothers i love them 2.
