I think this is a dumb idea. Too light-weight. What if my internet access is temporarily interrupted by my ISP or something. Then my computer is pretty much useless till my internet access is restored and until then I won't be able to access my files.

A computer without internet nowadays is so useless as a computer without electricity. Think about it.

@monsterborn12 Ill answer some of those questions for you, This Google Chrome OS isn't what its hyped up to be, It will not let you install games that aren't recognized by Google, or ANYTHING that it doesn't recognize for that matter, Frost wire/Lime wire are out of the question. But i'm not sure so don't take my word for it, This is what i heard from some people that have Beta Tested it...

Everyone, that has experience with computers will not need the Google chrome OS, its more for the people that don't necessarily know how to download things on Windows/Linux, OS's. It won't let you install things that Google doesn't recognize. I'm just warning you, not that its a bad idea but in reality you wont want to spend money on something that you don't need.

Good idea, but it's still in early stages. Theres so many flaws for example, will i be able to use other browsers (Firefox, ie, ect.), can i download programs, movies games ect.? How can that stuff be stored on the internet? If my internet was down, i wont be able to access anything on my computer. There are too many problems with this.

I think it's a good concept, but it feels like you're so limited and 'locked-in'.

A claustrophobic could never use Chrome OS...

Not really, Chrome OS will come with Google Gears which will allow a lot (but not all) applications to run offline and then sync with their cloud-counterparts when your internet connections come back. So your netbook will not be useless.
