As soon as Phyllis started singing all I could do was cry! We all need to be the formation of people that shoes love to people because we never know what people are going through.
MAY THE LORD ABOVE BLESS PHYLLIS HYMAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is a real gem, no really -a gem. To me, spiritually, emotionally, it's worth more than any value a stone or a rock could ever bring.

This was THE song from a great album. Phyllis Hyman, Norman Connors and Pharoah Sanders were remarkable. Phyllis never received the recognition she should have for such an emotional voice. Truly, the world overlooked a fantastic musician. Hope people today are enjoying their Lady Gaga. Fabulous post.

Phyllis you are truly are missed!
You will always shine!
I'll never forget early 1980's / summertime Fire Island Pines N.Y. / you, arriving via helicopter, landing on the ocean side of The Pines in the sand, almost midnight between Harbor Walk & Atlantic Walk looking "MAGNIFICENT" in a white beaded gown after a Broadway performance of "Sophisticated Ladies" to do a benefit at our summer playground, "The Pavillion" :-)
A NIGHT TO REMEMBER!
GOD SPEED!

With songs like this.... one can with their imagination, build a temple to love and make a dwelling place out of it indeed! Thanks to Phyllis Hyman and Pharoah Saunders for making such beautiful music together.

"LOVE IS HERE"~ファラオ・サンダース、フィリス・ハイマンの顔合
わせ~悪くない顔合わせ、精神性強いファラオが意外に好きだ! #jazzm
The Divine Ms. Phyllis Hyman...What can I say...She is truly missed. Everytime I hear a song from her sadness fills my heart, for I will never see her perform live. For many years after her suicide, I was angry. I am no longer angry and have come to love and appreciate the legacy she has left us. Timeless sound and beauty.
