Mortal Kombat 2 - Hornbuckle vs Blaze - Secret characters and Level.

NOTE: To anyone that doesn't read video blurbs, this is a fan-made animation. It also encoded badly, hence there are skipping frames throughout.

I hand animated a concept scenario of how a fight between Hornbuckle and Blaze might pan out. For those of you who are Mortal Kombat fans, you'd know that in the existing second game, two characters can be seen fighting in the background of the Pit 2. These characters were essentially just sprite-swaps of liu kang, but were given nicknames by fans around the world.

I've designed a practical level design as if this time the camera is looking back at the Pit 2 in Mortal Kombat 2. The round starts with player 1 on danger, fighting a bot for one round. People have been speculating for years as to whether or not these characters existed in the game - so i've saved you the grief and brought them to life!

Music composed by myself, it's a Mortal Kombat 2 stage remake.

So Hornbuckle never dies.

Hornbuckle is a shadow priest and a warrior who was sent to find Blaze and bring and make him protect an egg that held the Dragon King Onaga inside. Blaze fought ferociously, but was unable to defeat Hornbuckle. So Hornbuckle captures Blaze, and that's when Blaze's story rises above in Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance. Not a fake statement.

Of all the characters they could have made into a DLC for MK9, no Hornbuckle. But at least he's an extra in a couple crowd scenes.
