Nice video, I enjoy using it while I cover this song on guitar ^.^ haha

you should totally do some btbam or pantera covers :D

OOOOOH MY GAAAAWD. Yes! Thank you so much for doing this man, I am totally sharing this on Facebook. This is awesome, thanks again!

Lmao at your facial expressions. :)

@dkay182 Too technical for improv? Jazz music is probably some of the most technically challenging music out there for drummers, and guess what? It's 99% improv. Improv doesn't mean doing your own thing over a recording, it means taking what is already there and giving your own taste on it. Even if that taste just means reorchestrating a few notes here and there.

damn, you are pumping these drum cover out like crazy lol. Keep it up!
I like you're playing, but you're doing covers in a way that makes them pointless. Doing a cover is meant to show your take on a song. Not emulating it. Is learning how to play it exact a good skill? Yes. But true skill comes with giving songs your own flavor.

@jjjmanyo There will be that in more covers. This song didn't call for anything else.

@jjjmanyo i think it depends on what style the music is. i agree that covers are meant to be unique to each person, as you said. however, some genres of music like this are too technical for improv

@dkay182 I don't think that it's too technical to improv over, it's just that the emphasis in this style of music is the rhythm and syncopation. The drummers in this style usually have the perfect drumming already done on the recording and any more notes would just be overkill.

@KlayMoReH Love Volumes and that song! Probably will be the next cover once I get all the rhythms figured out.
