President Bush warned Americans that "our entire economy is in danger" and that passage of a $700 billion bailout plan is essential. "Without immediate action by Congress, America could slip into a financial panic," Bush said.

  • Personally, the bailout is the last thing that I would prefer to see, but as it stands, it may be the only solution to avert disaster. The proposed bailout was "estimated" to cost tax payers 700 billion. The market, after the vote, plunged over 700 points, losing 1 trillion dollars of its' value. It's strange that republican legislators voted down the package, especially since they have rubber stamped the President's other request. Oh yeah, it's election time. Hipocracy is alive and well.

  • It smells like the US is getting the people ready for a war... if everyone dumbs the dollar the US cant pay for their oil imports anymore because of the devaluation this would force the US to trade Oil in tougher currencies and eventually force them to find an easy target to gain access to oil, Iran would be 1 target but Venezuela would be closer to home and less hassle... that's why the Russians have sent a fleet there .... this is scary shit! Most European Leaders look rather pail just lately

  • No novelty here! Mr. Bush broadcasting manipulative propaganda intending to sway public opinion through tactics of urgency at the edge of a dooming precipice of collapse. Of course he is not addressing the real issues, such as the deliberate manipulation of credit rates, and the creation of money out thin air by an unconstitutional, unaccountable privately owned Fed.

Why believe an administration that has brought war, unjustice, and economic turmoil in the first place?

    Wall Street must fall.

  • Bud Dwyer showed you the way!

Until he follows Bud, I will have no respect at all for him.
