MARDI GRAS 2010 GreLa and Bes (GRELA and BES) Parades, Gretna, LA 1.mpg

GreLA and Bes or (GRELA and BES) both parade on Mardi Gras Day. That day this year was 16 Feb 2010, on The West Bank of Jefferson Parish. This is a family oriented parade with no nudity, drunken party goers or flashers of any kind. It's sponsored by good people, it mainly attracts families where parents can lift their kids near the floats in order to get a "throw" from the riders. It was a freezing Mardi Gras Day and ended just a little warmer but it was worth it. Keep the smaller, family type parades in mind when you visit Gretna, Louisiana, just 4 miles from New Orleans but a world of difference in parade goer.
