Ordered a stove from a fellow Youtuber, Ggreenvideos. He has decided to build stoves as a sideline. I jumped to get one of the first. They are a nice, very solid one piece stove. You can order one at the below link.

Update Aug 21, 2011: unfortunately the Big Breeze 2.0 is no longer in production. If you didn't purchase one you missed a nice little stove.

  • Thanks for sharing. I'm curious - what's the knife you used for the unboxing?

  • @mindracer1 It's a cheap no-name push button I picked up at the flea market several years ago. I keep it on the workbench because I can easily open it one handed.

  • @BrokenAeroVT As far as I know Tinny hasn’t said a thing and I really don’t think Tinny cares anyway. He is more into the specialty thing. Alcohol stove building information is all over the web. Anyone with the initiative can build and sell them.

  • Good review. Great boil time. What is the Coleman pot nade of and is it non-stick?

    Thanks.

  • @kphifer1 The cook kit is hard anodized aluminum and it isn’t non-stick. See this video for a nice look at the kit. “Coleman MAX Solo Cook set, great budget kit.” by Youtuber “gorzinplatz”

  • You're rite on that my friend. Personally I think many missed out on a simple great working fast stove! O well! Maybe in the next life eh?...hehe ;o)

  • Enjoyed your review.

  • Real nice stove, indeed. I've been thinking about them and performance, stoves that is. I cook in pots, tin cans and aluminum, and I've noticed it is nice to have a slower cooking, less intense flame to cook with. I've come up with a design on my personal stoves that seems to work well for my cooking needs, but often, as you say, it's nice to just bring the water to a boil. My deviled ham/cat can stoves are the hot rods for that. This does indeed seem like a wonderful design. Thanks for sharing.
