John, you're unbelievable. MM is a wonderful person and she's done so much for the deaf/HH community already. She's advocating for the ACCESSIBILITY of hearing aids and exams in third-world countries because she knows they don't have the same privileges we do here in America when it comes to making decisions that impact our daily lives. Give MM a break, she's trying to fight for the deaf/HH world to have more choices in a society that continues to engage in attempts to reinforce limits.

I agree with Bear4487. Honestly I admire MM. She's am amazing woman..you all are speaking of her like she's some godess and shouldn't make a mistake. Yes her decision to speak Afro than Oscars was a mistake. But mistakes happen because we're human, deaf or not. I love MM and will always support her.

I haven't read all 16 pages but I highly doubted M.M. would call deaf people dumb just becuz they don't wear hearing aids. Hearing aids are just tools. There's nothing wrong with Starkey (Hearing aids company) wanting to give hearing aids to third world countries. I'm tired of deaf people giving hard of hearing people like M.M. , Heather Whitestone, and others a bad name becuz they're not "deaf enough." Give us a break.

From a hearing person's perspective, I totally disagree with what you said about Marlee and her misrepresenting the deaf community. Do you honestly think that Marlee has a put a third world country first before this one in terms of helping those who are deaf? Keep dreaming. I want to take you back to the mid-90s, where she fought congress to pass a law for TVs to be manufactured with chips that supply closed captioning so that YOU and others who are deaf can watch TV and movies like us.
