thesurfsflat Could someone please explain this tactic and what purpose it has. I like to watch NFL but some of the little things I seem to not understand.
Thanks 2 months ago -
TheBaldOneMpls The Jets were out of timeouts. If MJD scores a touchdown, the Jaguars go up by 5 (6 with the extra point), but the Jets would get the ball back with about 1:40 to go, and that would be plenty of time to score a touchdown. Since either a field goal or a touchdown would give the Jaguars the lead, MJD took a knee to keep the clock running. They decided that the risk of the Jets scoring a touchdown with 1:40 left was bigger than the risk of missing a 20-yard field goal. 2 months ago

futurecomedian16 If you actually watched the game then you would understand that this was without a doubt THE RIGHT MOVE! Mark Sanchez was clicking and the defense was falling apart. They would have absolutely come back with almost 2 min on the game clock and scored for the win. Jones-Drew taking a knee and trusting Scoobe was without a doubt the right choice.
In other news 10,000 fantasy users lost that week because of this play. Eh. 3 months ago -

luckieblackkat He wasn't that POPULAR and that's why he wasn't picked as high as Forta, Jones-Drew and Peterson. 3 months ago

eskolou by not scoring they run the clock down to kick the game winner as time expired. Losing by 1 and winning by 2 after the field goal. 3 months ago
