How the hell do you calibrate the camera with the meter Idiot!! Good thing I already know. A target (18% grey card) and tethered camera. Look at the histogram from both, adjust the meter until it matches the camera, on the PC. Now hear this, this video sux!
is it me or doe this TelePrompter reading idiot seem to be getting so tired talking about the meter he wants to lay down and take a nap. Why is he bent over and resting on one knee. Who paid for this moron to be the spokesman. I would pass on this jerk alone,!
Sekonic is laughing with their clients: Even now when a Lion is on the market the guys from Sekonic do not find it necessary to have a driver for Apple's Leopard. How many decades will it take before the update their driver for Lion ?! In the meantime they sell their Greycard at an unbelievable price knowing that it can't do what it is to do: configuring a camera profile to bring it in in the light meter! There is a word to name such a practice.....
only f/2 on reflected metering? considering most folks who'll use this particular product have lens that can capture f/0.95 to f/2... seems a bit limited... only down side of this product.
this video doesn't really tell you anything about its usage... just an informational video... guess its okay if i didn't know which meter i wanted to buy
This video is titled "Sekonic L-758DR Light Meter: Calibrate/Profile Your Camera" on YouTube. That is incorrect. It is correctly titled on the video as a tour. I'd love to see the video demonstrating the camera calibration process using the new target.
I bought the MKII calabration target to profile the meter.... it doesn''twork. The software consistently makes a profile that consistently UNDEREXPOSES .I have 3 meters pentax digital spot and a Gossen Lunalite both of which agree, the sekonic is 1 and one half stops!!!!!!. under! look at forums this is a common complaint, I have made my tests under labarotory conditiions with no variation in exposure at the corners etc etc.... It's a L-578 DR
I was deeply involved in the design of the L-758DR and I basically wrote the copy for the brochure. This video was created as a quick tour of the meter. It's not a full instructional video. We would like to create a full video but economic challenges have put the project on hold.

No, I'm not a salesman.
