Fantasia II - Luys Milán

This is the second fantasia from Luys Milán's El Maestro published in 1536. I'm working on a few more of these currently -- I really enjoy the music. When playing these renaissance pieces, I often try to visualize myself playing them in an ornate courtyard of some Spanish castle, on a vihuela of course :)

Thanks Wilfried :) I wish I could say I was playing from the original tabulature, but I'm using 'The Complete Fantasias of Luys Milan', transcribed and edited by David Grimes and published by Mel Bay. Regarding the vihuela - I barely have enough time to study one instrument, let alone two :)

I try to imagine myself in a wonderful landscape by the woods, playing for my gentlefolks and I imagine people being curious about the vihuela :)

Hey Mathew, great video mate, these Fantasia's and other Lute pieces sound great! I've studied Preludium and Fantasia by Dowland but my sight reading isn't great, so I never really got there. Keep it up though, friend!
