These are not sills at all mate. These are bottom plates sitting directly upon a crib wall. Sills are the huge (6x6 usually) lengths of wood placed on top of piers that support mostly older raised homes. Not being a critical prick, you appear to have done the job well. I am just in the biz as well and would want someone to correct me if my terminology was off(which it certainly is at times).
BenEC78, I think where this guy comes from they ARE called sills. It's a regional thing I suppose. I heard both terms.
