@Makell Self correction- I meant it's one of the first songs for Israel as a state (though it was composed a bit before its establishment), not as people, as that would be over 5000 years ago.

@Makell LOL I'm glad if I could help, though it's not Japanese at all. It's Israeli, one of the earliest as well. But it IS really old, so it does surprise me that it ever reached Japan. When I saw "mayim mayim" (mayim = "water" in Hebrew) I didn't even think for a moment it would be that. I don't know much about Japan, but you can always ask Google, always worth a try =)

@Makell This song was composed by some Zionist settlers in 1942, not certain exactly who.

The song is about water (the joy of having much of it), danced in a large circle of people.
