"A Quasi-stellar Pulse" Final Fantasy VIII AMV

My first full AMV from the Ani-Magic AMV contest in 2005 featuring Final Fantasy VIII. I won second in my category.

The song quasar is the extra stage from beatmania IIDX 9th Style. This is by the same group who made sync which many people know from Dance Dance Revolution Extreme Arcade. OutPhase is the collaboration of dj TAKA with TaQ. The interesting effect of these two artists working together births amazing songs like sync and quasar. They are out of phase with eachother though musically. dj TAKA is well known for his use of heavy chords and complex classical melodies. TaQ is the master of the drum machine and making complex, catchy rhythms. The sound created in quasar is a perfect match of these two artists' amazing skills, of which I truly love.

Hearing the pinging space echo sounds makes me think of images randomly coming together to overwhelm you with emotion. That is the focus of my first video here. Final Fantasy VIII captivated me in some weird way that I portray in this video. If you want to not only see, but feel FF8 in 2 minutes, then this is it. If you are sick of FF8 videos, I apologize, I'll likely never do one again. But beatmania music... that'll be a different story =)

I really love this! I like how you didn't just use the cutscenes everyone uses, but you used all the mini ones of the garden and the spaceship, etc. Excellent timing! I love it!
