From "Hope Meets Foster"(prestige 7021) Freeman Lee (tp) Frank Foster (ts) Elmo Hope (p) John Gre (b) Arthur Taylor (ds) Recorded at New York City, October 4,1955
Thanks posting. I'm pretty sure the bassist is the great John Ore. Maybe you've spelled it wrong in the credits. I used to play with him at a club in Brooklyn back in the 80's and early 90's. Didn't know this record existed now I've got to get it!
Elmo Hope was another stylist in the Bud Powell tradition. Also this is a great example of the recently deceased Frank Foster's remarkable soloing ability! Barry Harris was telling us in class of how much they learned from Frank as youngsters in Detroit.
