  • Thanks posting. I'm pretty sure the bassist is the great John Ore. Maybe you've spelled it wrong in the credits. I used to play with him at a club in Brooklyn back in the 80's and early 90's. Didn't know this record existed now I've got to get it!

  • Great example of how to play Bebop!

    Elmo Hope was another stylist in the Bud Powell tradition. Also this is a great example of the recently deceased Frank Foster's remarkable soloing ability! Barry Harris was telling us in class of how much they learned from Frank as youngsters in Detroit.
