We had plastic tiles in the bathrooms when I was a kid. They actually looked OK, but you could pull them off with your finger nails and they made the walls feel cheap. The bathroom we used the most had to be re-tiled after about 15 years. These might be better, but I wouldn't trust any plastic tiles, especially if they don't interlock. The ceramic tiles in my house are 50 and will probably last at least another 50 years.
