This video is for a Rare Puzzle from my collection, and is not for sale. An excellent, as well as rare game made by ESR in 1965. It is actually a computer game made of plastic! There are 15 marbles, and two players take turns choosing 1 to 3 marbles, until one marble is left. The person who is left to deal with one marble, is the loser. In the video, I personally challenge Dr Nim, but he is too smart, and wins this round!!!

  • There should be a sequel, Dr. Tran, where EVERYBODY wins!

  • I remember playing this game as a kid. It seems to act like mechanical computer flip flops. Someday I will try and buy one and play it again. Thank you for letting me see one of my favorite toys from 45 years ago!

  • dr. nim is cheating!!!

  • @kastellorizo ok :)

  • where can i get this

  • @SirAuv lol I tried figuring out how to win as well :P and heres what i got: Say x is the amount of marbles. If (x-1)/4=a number without decimals, you want to go second and always land on 4, 8, 12, etc. else if (x-1)/4=a number with decimals, you want to go first and land on the remainder of (x-1)/4. So ex1: x=37. (37-1)/4=no decimals. So you go second and always land on 4, 8, 12, etc. ex2: x=36 (36-1)/4=decimals. So you go first and land on the remainder, which is 3, then 7,11,15, etc.
  • I'm gonna try to make this out of LEGO. Wish me luck!

  • This Game IS Winnable :D

I did the calculations, and if they had used two less (or 2/6/10/14/... more) marbles, the game would be an autoloss for the player/ autowin for Nim

I have never played this game, but can you try picking 2,1,3,1,3,1,3! By my analysis, It's the only way you can win!

This game has genius design, based on a system of 4 possible game states upon which Dr Nim will choose 1, 2, or 3 pick!
