  • i'm sorry i wanted to watch the whole thing, but i couldnt stand listening to your voice

  • @55darkwolfe55 ,

I'm sorry to hear that. Solutions to this problem include 1) Muting your speakers and just observing the video 2) Converting the speech to text using one of the many programs available that convert speech to text 3) Watch other videos on you-tube that show the Mizzel effect - perhaps the original that Mr. Mizzel has here on you-tube.

    Cheers,

    Harvey

  • Why are adult uploading videos of themselves playing with magnets? Granted this is...kinda neat...and I'm kinda craving frosted mini wheats now....Still...what is the point exactly? Not really exciting enough to make a video about it!

  • As I said in the video, this was made as a response vid for Janne808 regarding simple pole flips. Additionally, this confirms the theory that the weakest flux lines take the longest path and therefore the strength is directly proportional to the magnetic bubble surface area for a given flux density. It also shows unique action within the catenoid region which is inside the event horizon. The event horizon is that point at which the flux vector is parallel to the pole surface. It's adult science.

  • "It's adult science. "

I'm an adult...and a scientist...and I have no idea what the hell you are talking about...

  • goobergel a scientist?

With Scientist like you, no wonder the world is in the middle of an energy crisis.

  • My guess: the small magnet has a higher grade. The magnetism in the disc will collapse in the center. Therefor the small magnet will attract to the dis- magnets MATERIAL with a greater force than the repellung force between the equal poles. You can damage permanent magnets when opposing two equal poles with two magnets of different magnetic grade.

  • well like myself, i was from a very poor family and never had a magnet

Hey, at least I am putting forth an effort rather than playing with magnets all day:) (That was just a friendly poke...for real) If you want to see the energy crisis resolved write your leaders. We are doing the best we can however funding is getter tighter by the minute and real research is expensive.

  • Good one! Nice simple demo of the "dimple in the apple" of the magnetic field. Amazing how opposites can sometimes attract...

  • Yes this is definetly a similar thing but not the same effect. The difference on what goes on in my video is that I'm not pushing down or moving anything to make the magnet fly. It's the material itself that does the work. The only real power I'm putting into the system is when I pull the iron ball out of the strong neodymium flux.
