This LED underwater light is designed to replace traditional 55 watt halogen underwater lights. In fact, this LED light will outperforms a 55 watt halogen incandescent light with approximately 20% more light output. The light output is bright and pure white. This particular underwater LED light contains 4 LEDs that produce 12 watts. 800 lumen are also produced while drawing only 1 amp on 12 volts.

This high intensity, low draw LED light can be used for above or below water installation. Underwater, this LED light can be used to depths of 6 feet.

The underwater LED light offers a simple surface mount installation with a low profile design. A very small through hull hole is required to mount the light for the power wire only. There are 3 small equidistant holes surrounding the LED emitter cluster for mounting the light to the surface. This LED light is machined from an aluminum 360 alloy and then hard coated with clear anodize. This LED light can be painted to match the surrounding surface. Designed and USCG certified for the harsh saltwater environment.

MADE IN THE USA. CE certified

Applications:
This LED light can be used above or below water on boats, docks and other low voltage, marine applications.

Dimensions:
Size: 1.25" high x 3.9375" diameter (3.175cm x 10cm)

Electrical:
Operates on 10 to 30 Volts DC - simple power and ground leads protrude from rear of fixture.
Draws 950mA at 12 Volts DC and 475mA at 24 Volts DC. This means that at 12 VDC the fixture will only draw 1 amp, when at 24 VDC, it will draw only .5 amps.

This LED light has a 4 foot wire terminated in a female 2 pin Deutsch connector.

Certifications:
CE certified.

Features:
- Brighter than a 55w halogen bulb yet only uses half the power
- Brighter than most comparable lights, including halogen and HID through-hull lights.
- Flexible usages, it will not be damaged by above water use.
- Simple DIY installation, flush surface mount design requires no large through-hull holes
- New HILE (TM) technology, high intensity light engine offers 30,000 to 50,000 hour life.
- Operational voltage: 10 to 28 VDC (One unit handles various voltage)

We have also been selling these for use as swimming pool lights. In many states, code dictates that pool lights should have a step down transformer. The 120 Volts or 240 Volts is stepped down to 12 volts DC to the line running to the pool lights. The pool light only pulls 12 volts DC which is not harmful in water. Higher voltage pool lights running off of high voltage (120 Volts or 240 volts) are typically connected to a GFI, which will cut the power in the event that the current makes contact with the water. However, if the GFI fails due to outdoor exposure the high voltage current combined with the pool water can be deadly. However, with this light, there is no risk of electrocution. Finally, because this light runs at much lower voltage and amperage, smaller wires are needed. Thus, much smaller holes are needed to mount this light to the pool's wall surface.
