This is so offensive. I hate this show and makes it a way where Mormons seem like they are still practicing polygamy. The polygamists who in real life practice this are not part of the Mormon church. I like how everyone blames it on the Mormons when even in the bible prophets had practiced it. My gosh. Leave it alone and move on.

when it became both a legal issue and simply unnecessary for the men in our church to care for multiple wives polygamy was banned. the FLDS or fundamentalists broke from the church well after joseph smith passed away. when he died his wife thought her son should step into his place but the church through prayer found bringom young to be the next prophet. you see the fundamentalists do not practice the same that the LDS do. please do your research everyone. don't believe this show. it is lies.

this show really bothers me. i have not watched it much but there is something unholy about it. the LDS church allowed polygamy because when the first saints and their families were ran out of Missouri and went west many family lost their men in the struggles. there is a lot of importance on being sealed as a eternal family but you need a priest hood holder and further more many of the widows could not purchase land or even provide for their children. there is so much people don't know.
