  • This song says it all , RIP THE BRAVE

  • We lost so many great men to death and years being locked away.Let us never forget what they have done for you and their nation.

  • That was really lovely, so well sung and such a beautiful tune too. Really sad though.

  • @Jevois2 Thats all it ever was about...... and the thing that annoys me the most now is the (excuse me language) Handicaps in leinster, munster and connaught continuously voting for tyrant governments such as Fianna Fáil, Fine Geal.... if they only knew just to back Sinn Féin Éire could have been United years ago.

  • This is an proper republican song. He doesnt mention religions. The people who made that a big feature were the English. Divide and conquer, James I decided on that segregated society when he finally beat an Niallach. Religion is an irrelevant thing. The first republicans in Ireland were the United Irishmen. Lead by... well.. Presbyterians...Freedom?

  • Catholic I am always will be.

English I am always will be.

They put us down the pits you see.

So the owners could get richer you see.

    The workers were never free

Our rents were all but free.

  • when the loyalists were in the h-blocks, takin drugs, pumpin iron and each other, republicans were takin class in political sciences, landuages.

  • Hs anyone noticed how the two princes never go to war ? They always seem to be conveniently on "flight training" or something, then you see 'em pictured in getting pissed in country pubs and in London's clubs. The old man too, at the Cenotaph every Nov. bedecked in medals he didnt win in a war he was know where near. It makes me want to vomit, the brits love these people, all they do is help pay for their lavish lifestyle. So Gullible.

    Corcaigh

  • "You ll have to nail that uniform to my back"

RIP Ciaran Nugent. You deserved so much more!

  • Well now, if all the MLAs and other politicians could sing like Francie and Anne Brolly, we might see a bit more imaginative thinking. There is so much history in the songs of ireland, and so much singing from the heart.
