How is this a Cloverfield spoof? I have sat through episodes 1-4 with nothing exciting happening. Where is this shit going?

That's the whole point of it!

Cloverfield had them travel a lot and had them just sit around for hours thinking about what to do.

Here's a movie that takes that part, and makes it even bigger!

In reality, though, it was too damned cold to keep running around outside! (I could handle it, but the other actors just couldn't take it at all, especially the cameraman, because he was in Mexico for a week before.)

Well no, not exactly because Cloverfield was itself a parody of vacuous amateur videos like this. The point of Cloverfield was "What if something REALLY world shaking happened in the middle of someone's home movie." That was why it was so fresh and new. Even if you are going to have a "monster" in your movie you really need to have it start earlier - ten minutes in at the latest. If it's a short much much earlier. Otherwise, it's OK.

That will also allow me to finish up the movie being uploaded to various sites during the first week in May, because I'll get all of my homework done.
