This is the hollow wood prototype I am building of the Robert August "What I Ride" series that will be marketed in kit form by Wood Surfboard Supply. This one is the 9' version. The woods are Flamed Maple, Bubinga, Peruvian Walnut, and Balsa. The inlays are done in Abalone shell from Aqua Blue Maui. The board is just wet out with epoxy and still has to be sanded and glassed. I was excited at how it looks so I went ahead and shot this video. Still photos just don't capture the shimmer of the woods and the shell inlay.
