@AlexJ66 I dont know about big boats, but on dinghys, if your sails are not set up right... you cant steer properly. Therefore... ''real sailors steer with their sails'' does make sense. If you dont use your sails the right way, you will simply push the rudder against the natural flow of the boat... which is very slow. Technically... except on mark roundings... you shouldn't be using your rudder much.

I dont know what you thinkg about that. Maybe it doesnt work the same way on big boats.

Yep, Eijbers really doesn't know what he is talking about. VSK5 or the other version, VSKA32, are both sailing "simulators" and allow full control of sails and helm. Both games also allow for the addition of boats and courses created by VSK communities. "sail Simulator 5" is a very different game to VSK. It is a graphically better game, but it does not have full ISAF sailing rules like VSK.

As for "real sailors steer with their sails", well I had to have a laugh at that :-)

this isnt a simulation game the game does everything for you , lame shit, you dont have to do anything but stear , i was looking for a game you really had to control the sails etc. because real sailers steer with their sails , and thats impossible with this game
