Intermediate Pole Moves. Demonstrating the next level to my students. They will begin learning aerial combinations and inverts after demonstrating the ability to do basic inverted poses properly. This is their next step. Most students reach the Intermediate - Beginning advances stage after 6-12 months. Please visit www.michiganpoledance.com for more information about classes, prices and participation.

  • What is the trick called on 0:56? the flipping of scorpio to another shoulder.

  • @graceey82 Hi Graceey, I call it a spinning scorpio - this was a long time ago when I had first learned it, it's best to do it from a basic invert rather than a shouldermount. You would scorpio, thigh hold, the scorpio on your opposite side. :)

  • This vid helped me make my air invert pretty (and a lot easier), thanks! I wish I could attend your classes; I'm struggling to pick up technique through vids.

  • Aww thank you, being able to help someone is the best compliment.

  • Wow...it's a whole 'nother ball game seeing you in this wide open space on tall poles. There is an ease and a grace that comes into full flower in your studio. Your gemini release into the hip hold is what I want to do next. I sort of 'accidently' did it by falling off the pole, LOL!--now I want to learn to control it! Your scorpio spin was magnificent ( 1:04 ) and nose breaker scared me to death--ha ha , but that's how it's supposed to be!!! All this makes me want to come out of the basement!

  • Anytime you are in the Detroit area you are more than welcome to come by!!!! It would be a blast! The space and the height of the poles makes such a wonderful difference. It's so hard to be graceful in a little space on a short pole. When I am at the studio - I just never want to leave!!!
