Sixteen years ago on this day, May 29th, Cloud tottered out of the trees not too far from this spot with his mother. We went up to his Pryor Mountain home to look for him on his "Sweet Sixteenth." We found him with his band up on Tillett Ridge. A few bachelors came on to the scene, and Cloud proved his fitness and strength once again.

  • I love cloud i wish i could see him in person!

  • Cloud Looks Great

  • I love Cloud, and I'm so glad to see he's alive and in good shape :) those wild horses are really tough. (Red Raven and Blue Sioux are my favorites, though - their bond seems very rare for wild horses ^^)

  • This is the way all wild horses should live, sadly 40,000 plus have been captured by cruel helicopter roundups by the Dept. of Interior only to be separated from their families forever, emotionally and physically traumatized, their spirits broken. If you love horses, please get involved with The Cloud Foundation and become a voice so that wild horses will remain in the wild the way they were meant to be.

  • Wow 16? I've been growing up with cloud. He was born when i was only 5 and i've been following him his whole life, as much as i can anyway. I hope he live many more happy healthy years :D

  • I love him

  • Thanks so much for posting this. I can't believe it's been 16 years. He's still so beautiful.

  • He's beautiful. His ears were pinned back about as flat as they could be telling those bachelors they should move on. He looks really good! Actually they all look really good. They are just as they should be...wild and free. As one can see, these animals are NOT starving. The BLM is a sanctioned land grab authority. The BLM needs to leave the wild Mustangs alone. Our tax dollars SHOULD NOT FUND THE BUREAU OF LAND MANAGEMENT (BLM). It is a corrupt network funded by tax payer dollars.

  • Got to save the wild mustangs in the name of Cloud, the magnificent wild horse!

  • Happy birthday Cloud!
