Yup-- I totally agree. What screwed Don Imus wasn't his "hoe" remarks; it was everything he did and said afterwards. Keep in mind that other shock jocks have said and done much, much worse than he has-- especially Howard Stern-- and they've weathered controversies fine. Imus should have just shut up and been contrite. Then nothing else would've happened to him.

I agree that if Don Imus just laid low, e might have survived this. He should have learned by now what he can and can't say on air, though.
