  • I don't understand Nothing Happens. So if I have a cup and it full of nothing- then how can it have juice, coffee, beer and water in it? It is an empty glass which has the potential to be full of something. But just because the cup is empty doesn't mean the possibilities in it being full of something increase or that it is full of anything at all. It is still an empty cup.

  • ...and it's filled with air...

...and the air is full of... all sorts of stuff...

  • 'Nothing happens' seems to be the same principle as yin yang. Yang (activity) only happens in relation Yin (in activity) and vice versa.

  • @khamgarr206 That's not what he said. He said that is going to be the next Buddha but he's not ready yet.

.... true living buddha Tai Situ Rinpoche

  • this doesnt answer his question

  • Everything is a illusion and nothing is happening. If you are reading this note, its a illusion, nothing is happening.

  • Everything's an illusion I understand and I agree. The explanation to everything or nothing happens I think it has to do with the fact that if something is happening (in a second, a fraction of second, etc) nothing else can happen, nothing. By the other hand, if nothing happens there are an infinite world of possible outcomings for that moment. Since something happens, nothing happens. Right?

  • Everything been said here is still not Enlightenment. Continue to work hard.

  • The vital word here is "relatively". The cup is neither empty nor full. What we call "cup" is clay, water, glaze, heat and the potter's skill coming together to made an object. We name it "Cup". We put something into it and say it's full. So it is relative to what we perceive with our senses. We say things are big, small, beautiful, ugly - but all our judgments are based on how WE perceive them. In meditative awareness we have no judgments, we live in the moment, all IS - or is not... ;-)
