yeah, but they intentionally stole Jake Holmes 'Dazed and Confused' and there are others. That is the most direct one though.

@kildare97 - Thanks for that info. And, no question, I love Led Zep, but was quite dismayed to find this other stuff out years later. I know they've acknowledged it now - (especially after Mojo's CD "The Roots of Led Zeppelin" - it's really a good selection of stuff they were influenced by, and....used)

@rocktenniscat Anne Bredon did not sue as It was led to believe that was a traditional song as joen baez had them believe once anne bredon informed page he put her name on the credits.
NO LEGAL ACTION WAS TAKEN it was a simple mistake

I look at it as though they Zep Stone's many many others took cool song's and made them cooler, they opened music up to many of us that we never or may have never heard before, weather ripped off or just added some more flavor they kickass they are there enjoy it and shut ur faces :-)

Most blues songs are a ripoff of about four different original songs. Most of them are "ripoffs" to begin with.
I wouldn't be surprised if Peter Grant (Zep's gangster manager) wasn't behind the idea of not giving credit to the blues artists who were heavily borrowed from.

At 2:30 check out Ringo's beat straight out of the Beatles' "I Feel Fine"!
Of course, "Watch Your Step" came first...
