This video clips contains small incidents from the 1989 Le Mans 24 Hours race.

1) Hitoshi Ogawa retired the Minolta Toyota 89C-V with a blown engine.

2) The GP Motorsport Spice SE87C experiences clutch and electrical problems as Philippe de Henning tries to fix it but is able to carry on in the race. It was later discovered that there was an electrical fault in the rotor arm

3) On the fourth hour of the race, the leading coasted to an halt at the beginning of the Mulsanne Straight on its 50th lap, when Derek Daly found no drive as he went for fourth gear. Derek had to get out, and with verbal instructions from his team members, had to take the back off the gearbox, and try to jam it into a gear.

4) Walter Lechner obtains a puncture run down to Indianapolis and caused a lot of damage in his Brun Motorsport Porsche 962C and forces it to retire.

5) At around 7.30pm, Masanori Sekiya had a huge crash at the Porsche Curves in the Leyton House Porsche 962C, flattening a length of the barrier. The wreckage look bad on the TV, and one immediately felt for the Kremer brothers, but the Japanese driver escaped with a shaking. It took time to repair the fencing, but no pace car was utilised.

6) Derek Daly got his Jaguar going but he would lose a lot of time limping back to the pits.
