  • Awesome vid, very informative, thanks. Happy huntin!

  • @jackazz1100 Well, thank you !

  • I am in Grand Rapids MI. Where do you live in Michigan? I found lots of huge cinnabar chants '09 too. Tons of Honeys and abortivums too. I didn't find any chicken of the woods or hens, and I have never found the Hericium- bears paw. Nice finds. If you are close enough we should get together for a foray.

  • I agree !! I live in Davison, just east of Flint. Lots of state land to hunt too !!! Maybe we can hook up this year. I didn't find very many chickens either, but I didn't get out all that much. Was doing more pike fishing then usual.

  • I love Hereciums!! Those Cinnabars were huge!!! Wow man what a mushroom hole you have there!!

  • Thanks. The way this season is starting , it's going to be a bumper fruiting again .

  • michigan also has morels, oysters, and puffballs........a few of my faves, good collection though

  • You're welcome, I believe there are 8 different clubs in New York. Has to be one close to you. You also are gifted to have The Audubon Society Field Guide To North American Mushrooms author, Gary Lincoff, living somewhere around Central Park. Thanks for watching & have fun pick'n.

  • Interesting! Mushroom club in New York! That's what I need! Thank you very much!

  • No, I didn't go to school. I started picking Morels with a friend and ran into the Michigan Mushroom Hunters Club and joined it. They have many hunts threw the spring, summer, and fall, all over the state. I also bought all the books I could find, which is very helpful. Go to N.A.M.A. and click on affiliated clubs, find your state and click on that. It will give you information on a club near you. Thanks for watching. I hope this helps. See ya in the woods!!!
