IFR Visits The Children's Center

Miss Rodeo USA, Katie Barger, toured The Children's Center yesterday! Miss Rodeo USA's visit was part of the annual International Finals Rodeo (IFR), which takes place in Oklahoma City this week. She was accompanied by IFR contestants, trick riders, a trick roper, and a rodeo clown as they visited the children with complex medical and physical disabilities. The rodeo posse joined patients for a music therapy performance and then toured the Pediatric Medical Rehabilitation Unit (PMRU).

The International Professional Rodeo Association (IPRA) is the rodeo industry's second-largest cowboy and cowgirl association with more than 300 rodeos in 30 states and Canada. Born in Oklahoma 42 years ago, the IFR will crown the World Champions of the IPRA at the State Fair Arena, January 13-15, 2012. Miss Rodeo USA will be crowned this Sunday afternoon.
