In Onimusha 3, it was said he went into hiding (lol totally out of character), but it seems he returned to Yagyu village and rebuilt the clan after Nobunaga's death.

@VetaEXZ Yup me too. MVC3 sucks balls. They took out good charcters, put in pointless ones, made it more colorful, and cut the roster in hhalf... But no Onimusha.. You get a guy that takes pictures, but no Onimusha? Capcoms startin to really get me angry.
