  • I really respect this particular viewpoint. Many atheists I encounter complain loudly about evangelism, then are very in your face if you mention you are religious. I call these people evangelical atheists. I respect that Penn respects proselytizers since he proselytizers atheism himself.

  • 6:6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.

  • @MrMrsalligator arrrgh, matey! yo ho ho! dead mans chest and a bottle o' rum!

  • @meatnug Twist not the scriptures lest ye be like satan

  • @lasoogneypubes you make a very good point. i am getting tired of Christians who believe in God because "they just do"

  • what he says should be something taken very seriously by Christians. this isn't a joke people! if you really call yourself a christian and you truly believe in hell then what in the world is keeping you from evangelizing? an awkward moment? Penn made a really great point in this video i wish more Christians would take their faith more seriously.

  • I think the value in his view is it exposes religion. I think if religion can be exposed, it can be defeated, but if not, it will linger on and empower ignorance. Rallying Christians to stand up for their beliefs in face of ridicule is, in my opinion, the best way to show them the error of their faith. And it promotes a high moral standard on everyone regardless of belief: If you have knowledge that can save others, you must act upon it.

  • The most mature perspective I've heard from either side.

  • Penn is correct and the Lord just used him to convict me. Now that's funny.

He's wrong about God and the Bible, but as a fellow libertarian, I actually agree with him on many subject. He's a very intelligent man.

  • He just earned my respect.

  • Everyone has already considered the idea of an afterlife. If maybe a Christian had some sort of way of having an atheist prove the existence of God to themself, then that would be different. Just telling them to believe just because they should is just annoying.
