  • @BarrieBusesandTrains This locomotive type was a joint venture by DR (now DB) and CSD (now CD) with DR getting 20 locos and CSD getting 15. So there are also German drivers trained to operate this locomotive. Although the one in the video is a CD version, I think the crew, including the driver, is German because they announce a crew change in Decin. The reason for the Czech version being used in Germany is b/c it was modified to run 160 instead of 120 km/h (German version).

  • Is there DB crews driving the train on this section. I thought that the foreign locomotive (in this case Czech) would have a driver from its owner the whole journey. I know that international trains usually have a train manager from the country that owns the train, and a locomotive and driver from whichever country the train's operating in. How does it work when say a Czech train with Czech locomotive operates say in Germany? Would it have an all Czech crew? (Sorry for the long question)
