Shortbread Cookies (2-9x13 inch pans) There for you may want to consider cutting the recipe in half.
2 cups butter
6 cups flour
1 tsp. salt
6 TBs. granulated sugar
1 cup powdered sugar
2 TBs. ice water

1. Combine all ingredients ecept the water with a pastry cutter
2. Press into 2 - 9x13 pan lines with parchment paper.
3. Bake at 325 for approx 45 minutes till golden brown.
4 Score the cookies while still hot.

  • Thank you, Marjorie! I really appreciate that you posted your recipe HERE instead of just having a link to some other website like most every other cookie baker here.

    Since you have this delicious recipe, I wonder - Do you also have a Peanut Butter Cookie recipe that isn't crispy but has more of a short bread, melt-in-your-mouth consistency after it's baked? If so, PLEASE post it.

    (I used to have a recipe like that but somehow lost it & my family misses it like crazy.)
