@BrutusMcCrunch Without a doubt mate and Heyday is a timeless masterpiece.

This was the first song I ever heard by them, on a mix tape in 1986. I immediately went out and got the "Heyday" album and they've been one of my favorite bands ever since...and they continue to make good music today, after all these years.

Ahh hey-day is so nice album...

Possibly the most underrated band of the past 30 years

I really love the soft ending to this song.

Fantastic!

@simionTheOne Xymox was good, but jeez, the number of awesome alternative 80's and 90's bands is endless. Depeche Mode of course, but also bands like Lush, The Charlatans, The Stone Roses, Catherine Wheel, Jesus & Mary Chain, the list goes on and on.

It remembers me year 1987 when I went for a trip to the united state! I bought two albums on tape in Washington DC ("Heyday" from the Church and "That total Age" from Nitzer Ebb) and I drove from Washington DC to Miami-Florida with only these two tapes to listen to! Should I say that The Church were more "listen-able" for such a long trip! arf arf arf!

The Church, The Chameleons, Echo-- top 3 for sure.

I found out about these guys from Allmusic Guide because I'm a big Bunnymen and Chameleons fan. luckily we have 2 independent record stores in town that stock alot of Church stuff and ended up buying most of it! in a way its good they're not so popular, music like this should be considered a treasure not to bue spoiled on mainstream radio
