The REAL JESUS

RED. POINT Church is starting a new, Church-wide Series from 8 May -- 19 June, and it's going to be Amazing!

"The REAL JESUS" is a series getting to grips with Who Jesus is and Why it Matters, and will be a journey of 8 Sundays, 7 LIFE Group Meetings, and your personal growth with Jesus over the time...

ON SUNDAYS at 9am and 6pm at RED. POINT we will look at Jesus and his encounters with people like us through the different stories of scripture. These will be real snap shots of God among man, and what the REAL JESUS is like.

IN HOMES, at our LIFE Group meetings, we will be meeting together, having a meal and a discussion around Jesus based on a DVD series by Mark Driscoll on some BIG Questions surrounding Jesus (eg. 'Is Jesus the Only God', 'What Difference has Jesus Made to the World', 'Did Jesus Rise from the Dead').

And while we look at "The REAL JESUS", why don't YOU spend time everyday, reading through a Gospel (Matthew, Mark, Luke or John) and maybe a book about Jesus (We recommend "Vintage Jesus" by Mark Driscoll, "The Jesus I Never Knew" by Philip Yancey, "Seeing and Savouring Jesus Christ" by John Piper or "The Jesus of the Gospels" by Michael Eaton) to get to know Jesus better. It's one of the best ways we could spend our time.

How can YOU get involved?

Firstly, if you are someone that regularly attends RED. POINT Church but are not involved in one of our midweek Life Groups that meet in homes around the City - YOU can JOIN A GROUP. If you know someone that is already part of a Life Group - Why don't you go along with them, or else you can sign up at our Real Jesus desk and we will help you get connected. These Life Group Meetings are an important part of this journey that we are taking and now is the perfect opportunity to get involved.

Secondly, INVITE YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY. We believe that the questions about Jesus - "Who He is?" and "Why it matters?" are the most important questions a person can ask. This journey will be of benefit to anyone who is willing to explore the person of Jesus.

Thirdly, it is also a great opportunity to HOST A GROUP of your own for those 7 weeks, by inviting a bunch of your friends around, organizing a meal, showing them the DVD's, and facilitating a conversation. It's that easy! You could even host one of these groups in your Office, Varsity or at your School! You can find out more about this at our Real Jesus Desk in the RED. POINT foyer.

We're really excited about The REAL JESUS and looking forward to the journey as we Grow in Jesus, Start New Groups and Invite People to come along for the ride, as we explore Who Jesus is and Why it Matters.
