Commiting to this prayer upon waking up will change your life, mindset and strengthen your focus. Deeds are important in Judaism. Its not all about feelings in the heart as some others will suggest. And that doesnt matter if the feelings are of hate and negativity or compassion and loving kindness. His ways are higher than our ways. Understand that the replacement theology is a form of half bred humanism. Thank you for this posting. Baruch Ha Shem.

Praying With Fire Vol I and Vol II, Rav Schwab on Prayer, and Rabbi Aryeh Kaplan's books on Jewish Meditation are good books on learning how to pray like a Jew, and the art of prayer in general.

Don't make us Christians look bad, Devon...
Religion is a personal thing. I think every person has a right to embrace it (Unless, of course, that religion deals with the bombings of the innocent). Judaism is actually not that bad when compared to other religions, I mean both Christians and the Jewish believe in God. Its the existence of Christ that drives us and the Jewish away from respecting one another, and quite frankly its a damn shame.
