It's early June and the rhododendrons surrounding the ruins of Errwood Hall in the Peak District's Goyt Valley are in full bloom. This easy four-mile circular walk starts alongside Errwood Reservoir, passing the ruins before heading up Shooters Clough Valley. There are some magnificent views all along the walk, especially from the top of the ridge. From there, it's a short walk down the slope back to the car park.

This is the seventh in a series of walks around this part of the Goyt Valley. See the companion website at www.goyt-valley.org.uk for other walks, full directions, as well as photographs of Errwood Hall and the picturesque hamlet of Goystbridge.
