faq 1
My first attempt at an faq video. Just me talking to the camera, so this may bore you to tears. Or you might find it interesting if I answer a question you were wondering about.
I didn't write answers first -- just talked to the camera, then cut it up. I didn't express my thoughts especially well ... but, well, if I waited until I could find the right words I'd probably never finish this video.
I'm going to make another faq video sometime -- so please ask if there's something you want me to talk more about or you have a question that I didn't address.
It was so long that I had to render it to a lower quality version to make it less than 100MB - so my face is a bit fuzzy I think.

Best way to improve English skills is to not get lessons from a Kiwi. Blimey.

I don't know one American who would think you speak bad English. Most would adore your accent. Of course assholes will be assholes ----

Hmmm, I can now understand why you speak so slowly in the recent shows. In this video you're speaking quite fast and with your accent it can be hard for people who learn English to understand you...

it s old show but I hadn't seen it so it was very interesting for me (I subscribed when TDES was about 700)
your accent was vary hard at first for me . but now I can understand you very well without any problem(my mother tongue is farsi) so I think it was so good to experience NZ accent too.

Not only is your accent perfectly fine, [well, for a Kiwi ;o) ], but I'd say that exposure to different accents is strongly recommended. People generally learn English because of its use as the international language and this means that people from all over the world will use it, and they each have their own accent, according to their native language. It's important that students of English are exposed to these and get used to them. American English is not the only dialect ;o)
