Anti-bullying Task Force PowerPoint Presentation

The Franklin School Committee's Bullying Task Force presents its report on bullying. The School Committee formed the task force, pursuant to Policy BDF, to address bullying concerns and make recommendations for the implementation of policies and practices to combat this social problem.

Since July of this year, the task force has been reviewing current policies and practices in Franklin, identifying items to include in an anti-bullying policy, identifying available anti-bullying programs, reviewing legal issues, and developing a district plan to combat bullying. The Task Force was also charged with making recommendations relative to implementation of procedures in accordance with M.G.L. c. 71, § 37O, the new anti-bullying statute.

The Task Force catalogued its work in a report and developed a Bullying Plan for the district. The Task Force also developed a website devoted to the topic of bullying. It includes information and links to bullying websites and reports, and also provides access to all of the Task Force documents.
