OneVoice Israel Executive Director Tal Harris and senior OneVoice Palestine youth activist Rami Rabayah met with top British officials, policymakers, and community members in March to discuss the possible effects of the Arab Spring on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Rami and Tal kicked off their visit with an event at the House of Commons, exploring whether people power has been the missing element in delivering a two-state solution. The New Labor pressure group, Progress, co-sponsored the event and Foreign Affairs Shadow Minister Stephen Twigg joined our youth activists.

At Kings College on March 2, Rami and Tal shared their personal stories with more than 25 students. They also stressed the importance of channeling the momentum sweeping across the Middle East to inject a new sense of urgency to achieve the two-state solution.

Rami and Tal briefed Foreign Office diplomatic staff on regional developments, explaining the respective moods of their colleagues on the Palestinian and Israeli streets.

Twigg congratulated OneVoice for the work it's doing on the ground in Israel and Palestine during Foreign and Commonwealth Questions to the Foreign Secretary on March 15. He asked Foreign Secretary William Hague to join him in recognizing the movement and its achievements. See complete video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vd-wYqHymIw.
