  • Well, we don't know at what ocassion this clips were shown. I assume it was on the Photokina fair in cologne where PRAKTICA was an exhibitor from the beginning.

    Back in the communist days a lot of PRAKTICA cameras had been exported to the so-called NSW (non-socialist west). The rulers back than hadn't had so much problems with showing western countries in their spots. However, it's true that most of the East Germans were not allowed to ravel freely.

  • GDR is West Germany yes?

  • It's East Germany. ;-)

  • I liked the polar bear until it ripped its chest open. :-/

  • 2:21 gave me a stiffy. That would be a "hochschwanz" to you Krauts. You're welcome.

  • @lmommsen

    You answered my question I see. Were they REALLY that bad though?

  • I love cameras. How good were the Praktika cameras? Would they be good as a collectors item or souvenir?

  • Auch Praktica wurde nach 1990 von der ,,Treuhand" platt gemacht,die Mitarbeiter gefeuert.

  • @simonsimonsimonism lol this is a bit of a late reply but i'd argue that you need to look at the situation with a bit more nuance. Your hypothesis is correct about what communist countries ended up like, but i'd say it isn't an either/or calculation. We should have elements of both, with fundamental respect for the rights of every person.

  • 3:01 min coole synth Mukke :-)

  • they're perverted too

    8=D ----> 8====D

  • them fatties got swag....

  • Our Praktica camera, which functioned much like my far superior Pentax MG, was a piece of crap. It was constructed so that it could not even be dismantled to repair. The photos it produced were crappy too. And the East German film!! Junk..
