Missing - Arcadia (cover) - Michael Aaron

In 1985 Duran Duran was on an extended break and 3 members created this one-off project called Arcadia. Often called the best Duran album never made, I agree with that sentiment. It felt like them, but a little more arty and atmospheric. This song closed out side 1 (back when there were sides) and I loved it. Translating it was tough though, as it seemed to float almost free of time signature here and there. The chords were washes and implied rather than obvious. This started off as just learning the song, and quickly became a 2 week project, working up parts from scratch and making a very different version that hopefully still captured the mood and tone of the original. Arcadia fans will know the vocal line in the coda, referencing another song from the album, but these two sentiments seemed to fit together thematically. Hope you like.
