  • There was a song about the1956 Explosion does anyone have the lyrics

  • the tour is not shut down we had two inspectors in last month said it looked great i replaced 19 props this year and everything is solid

  • My stepmother's dad died in the 1956 explosion. He was injured near the surface and was burnt bad, died a few days after. I have heard tons of stories, even from people working in Joggins and Maccan which were even scarier mines because of very low ceilings. It is very interesting to just sit at a table with someone and hear the stories, just like a war veteran.

  • there going to shut it down because its not safe my dad did the inspection and i whent with him i got to go to restricted areas it was epic

i live in springhill best town ever

  • my house is on this video i live like 30 seconds away from it and there is my neibor doing the tor

  • I live 15 mins from Springhill,I did go on a tour down in the mine...very dark

  • It's funny to run across this video, I live around the corner from the mine and I have never been down the mines, it's nice to see this video so now I know what to expect...the tour guide is my neighbor...lol...pretty kool!!! Thanx for posting..!

  • Nice Video. Wasnt expecting ot find this but was informative. My great Uncle was the last body taken out of the mine during the 'bump' in 1958. His name was Harry O'Brien.
