The shell adds very little weight. For me, it's not even noticeable. I can't think of any way that it could be considered restrictive, unless getting to the battery is restrictive. But the shell pops off really easily if you need it to, so no, it's not restrictive. You have access to all the ports.

Dont really like the look of that, i think heat will be a problem, even if you cant feel it through the shell.
also it covers the apple logo!

Yes, it does cover the Apple logo. I could care less about that. My primary concern is protecting the case and eliminating all the smudges that accumulate on the case.
I use my macbook all day long and heat buildup is not an issue.

@TheRogueMonk I have not seen it. If it's of similar design I'd assume it would do the job as well. But like I said, I'm not familiar with it.
