A broken upper case is a real bummer but it definitely doesn't mean you are going to have to replace your entire computer. This video will walk you through the process of replacing a MacBook Unibody's Upper Case.

  • where to buy a full case (lcd,upper,down)??

  • Very decent overview on how to tear one of these down. As a professional technician, some tips include transfer the HDD bumpers to new top cases that don't have them, you can remove the speaker assembly and the optical drive together (leave the screw into the ODD in) and use post-it notes to align the trackpad during reassembly. Also, yes I do use the iFixit 54-piece bit driver kit in my workplace for about 200 repairs a month. Keep up the great videos, and as MJ says, happy repairing.
