South Africa is very proud of the Pinotage grape and today Gary Vaynerchuk tries 3 value driven Pinotage wines on the thunder Show to see how they fare.
Honestly, the descriptions that wine enthusiasts employ are comical and outlandish. All this talk of roasted bananas, copper, grass and led pipes is ridiculous; it's an attempt to make something sound more sophisticated and extensive than it actually is. I love it when I hear language like "this wine is so oaky and minerally." Obviously, the conditions under which wine is made imparts flavor, but 90% of these descriptions are complete nonsense.
you realize the reason you can extrapolate all these exotic and mundane scents from a sniffy-nif and s sippy-sip owes to the fact you have a lesion on the walnut.

Sorry to get technical, but Pinotage (correct spelling) is a CROSS of Pinot Noir X Cinsault, and not a CLONE. But I do agree it's a cool varietal.

is it pinotage or pintoage? the title says "pintoage" but it sounds like your saying "pinotage". just curious.
